Tea Party Becomes A Curse for Israel

When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came to the United States recently for another tense discussion with the Obama administration, he was warmly received clearly from one of the new star of the Republic on Capitol Hill, Eric Cantor, the House majority leader candidate.

But while Cantor and members of the Republic of the newly re-strengthened to promote themselves as loyal defenders of Israel in Washington, the new American political landscape is the background to be reset more complex and unpredictable for the Middle East peace.

A number of candidates who backed into the Tea Party Congress, many of whom support the isolationist political policy and is determined to cut American foreign aid, regardless of its purpose. Paul Rand, the newly elected senators who supported Tea Party of Kentucky, bluntly told Israel Public Affairs Committee of America, a group of influential pro-Israel lobby, saying that they will not agree about the need for foreign aid and suggested they move to the topic others, according to the explanation of the meeting.

“One of the first things to Cantor did was to ensure that his colleagues voted in aid to Israel,” said Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York, who also met with Netanyahu.

Schumer and others worry that support for Israel in Congress could become politicized in a way that will ultimately damage the interests of Israel. In the last election, the administration’s Middle East policy into a partisan issue, which is used by some Republicans who said that President Obama is likely to take a hard line against Israel.

He also said that the Obama administration, which includes the Office of Transport Security (Transportation Security Administration – TSA), must find a “way of limiting the number of people included in the surveillance.” The passengers who rang a metal detector at airport security checkpoints should be towards a scanner and search the body, or face arrest and a fine of $ 11,000. A Lawyer Threated China

A Chinese lawyer who represents Nobel Peace Prize winner who has been jailed Liu Xiaobo told the BBC that he intends to file a lawsuit against the Chinese authorities to trip him when trying to leave China. Mo Shaoping said the decision by the Chinese police to stop attending the conference in London was not valid. Mo said he was told that if he left China, it could “threaten state security.” But he said the authorities suspected he might have planned to receive the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of Liu.

China has reacted with anger toward giving the Nobel prize for Liu, who was sentenced to 11 years in prison in December 2009 on charges of subversion, after helping to write a petition calling for political reform that was signed by thousands of people. The lawyer said the immigration officer had stopped him at the Beijing airport as he prepared to board a flight to England to attend the conference attorney.

He told the BBC that he was brought into the room and they said that he could not travel abroad because it could threaten state security. “I asked for a written notification, but police said they did not have anything on paper, but orders from the Beijing Public Security Bureau said that we could not leave China,” said Mo to the Chinese Service.

“We will follow the legal procedures in China and filed a lawsuit against them … that reason does not make sense. It’s against the law,” he said. Mo said officials did not explicitly mention the award as a reason why it denied permission for his trip, but he believes the connection to Liu is the reason he was dismissed. He said he wanted to visit British Prime Minister David Cameron to raise the issue of Liu Xiaobo during his visit to China at this time.
