Wyclef Jean, the hip-hop singer who expressed his desire to run as Haiti president, stated that he will oppose the declaration from the board of elections of Haiti disqualifying him.

According to a statement of Jean, he had made decision to oppose the election officials’ declaration saying that he was disqualified to run for president in Haiti. Jean also said that after careful deliberation and soul-searching, he will be looking for an explanation over legal means and he pleaded the compatriot to be tolerant during the procedure.

Furthermore, the name of Jean was not on the 19 list of official candidates for presidency published Friday night by the Provisional Electoral Council of Haiti. At that time, Jean stated that he considerately acknowledges the final judgment of the committee and he appealed to his followers to do the same.

In addition, Jean was with the 15 potential candidates for presidency discarded. Officials of the election did not give any grounds to reporters, but the speech of Jean said they had lined he was not a Haiti’s resident.

Moreover, Jean also said that within the 36 hours after the pronouncement, he had been in stable discussion with his family, advisers and friends, and evaluating the comments of good followers and people all over the Haitian distribution.

Jean added that he has also been personally observing the condition on the ground that he was pleased to tell has stayed considerate and quite. Furthermore, Jean released a statement saying that he was totally saddened together with Jean’s followers that he was disqualified to run as president in Haiti.

He also added that he wants to keep on his endeavor to always remain Haiti in the top of world’s mind. He does not want to present anybody the possibility to overlook the victims of earthquake.
